Malaysia is the world’s third-largest exporter of liquefied natural gas and the second-largest oil and natural gas producer in Southeast Asia. Rising domestic and regional energy demand is prompting Malaysia to invest in upstream oil and natural gas projects and in downstream infrastructure such as oil and gas import terminals, storage facilities, and refining capacity to ensure adequate energy supply.
