Working gas inventories see significant improvements this summer

(Wed, 18 Sep 2019) Working natural gas stocks in the Pacific region totaled 275 billion cubic feet (Bcf) as of September 6, 2019, according to the latest EIA <em>Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report</em> (WNGSR). Pacific region working natural gas inventories are now just 28 Bcf lower than the five-year average and 26 Bcf higher than the year-ago level. The deficit to the five-year average reached a recent low of 19 Bcf, during the week ending August 23— the smallest in the region since May 5, 2017.

USDA Modernizes Swine Slaughter Inspection for the First Time in Over 50 Years

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced a final rule to modernize swine slaughter inspection and bring it into the 21st century. For the first time in more than five decades, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is modernizing inspection at market hog slaughter establishments with a goal of protecting public health while allowing for food safety innovations.

U.S. Biodiesel Plant Production Capacity
